What is the soundtrack to your life?

I wanted to use an artsy shot of sheet music but I am an enjoyer of music, not a maker. In my next life time, if there is one, I will play the cello and piano.

A fun exercise in procrastination when I should be writing…

If my life was a movie…

Opening CreditsWake up this Day by Tom Misch.

Waking Up Corner of the Earth by Jamiroquai.

First Day of SchoolWhen I was Young by Mo. I had absolutely no idea what was going on.

Falling in LoveShoop by Salt’n’Pepa. No, I am not kidding.

An endingMr Jones by The Counting Crows followed by Cries too Hard by The Whitlams, then Hey Jealousy by the Gin Blossoms.

LIFE Part of the Process by Morcheeba, then Paris by The Chainsmokers

Mental BreakdownToo Drunk to F*ck by Nouvelle Vague then Sour Times by Portishead

Career – The theme song from The Benny Hill Show. It’s been a circus…

have a listen…it’ll make you laugh…

Wedding I’m kissing you by Des’ree. My hubby and I walked up the aisle together and I can’t recall the song that was playing but the Des’ree song from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet was playing as we signed the register. It wasn’t prescient; we didn’t die horribly in a murder-suicide pact.

Honeymoon– Standing in a market street behind Church of San Michele in Florence, I heard The Sea by Morcheeba wafting from a music store. Remember music stores?

Birth of a Child Cello Suite No1 in G Major by JSBach performed by Yo-yo Ma. My son is a cellist so it’s fitting. Maybe he should perform it!

FlashbackMaybe it’s Time by Bradley Cooper. sigh…

Death scene I Go To Sleep performed by Sia. Bring your tissues.

Funeral Song Boys of Summer by Don Henley. For as long as I can remember this has been the song I want played at my funeral.

End Credits Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.
