I am reading Jackie French’s Miss Lily’s Lovely Ladies (a signed copy – ooh la la!) It is incredible. So beautifully written. I want to sit all day and read it!! That’s where you’ll find me today; by the pool, book in hand.

I love to read at night but the hotels don’t seem to value reading lights. Maybe because everyone reads on their phones? I refuse to accept that it’s because no one reads anymore.

My insta shot of the book.

Full of politics and intrigue, I have found myself thinking about the characters a lot. It’s also a very unique story and Australian but with a European backdrop that interests me.

Full of strong female characters that I wish I’d written and that I wish I was like. These are true heroines and villains! I’ve even been crying while sitting here by this tropical pool.
