That’s all I wanted to say. I’ll say more of course, because that’s what I do.

see the actual rain drops!!!

As I wrote a couple of weeks back, I’d been having some mental health struggles with freaking out over the drought, so when the wet stuff began to fall this morning I was doing a happy dance for sure. I’ve got a lid on my freaking out and it’s all about action. I’ve been cutting down on water usage, riding my bike to yoga, supporting a kickstarter developing zero waste home cleaning products. (Google ZeroCo) And there’s this other thing I learned in yoga and it sounds like ‘shamarta‘ but I don’t know the word in sanskrit, but it’s basically not following the thoughts. Don’t follow that loopy little rabbit down the rabbit hole, kids.

I found this great post about dealing with disturbing thoughts.

In a nutshell Buddhism tells us to scrutinise each thought root and stem and pull it out if need be. Too often we’re told to ‘trust our feelings’. What shitty advice! Feelings are weird and silly and too easily fueled by pain and tequila to be trusted!

it says ‘insanely interesting’ not insane. don’t mix the two…

Happy weekend, peeps.
