Imagine a world in which there are no happy endings. The world of the refugee killed fleeing their home. The world of the child born into an abusive home, finally one punch too many. The world of those sold into modern day slavery. The world of animals raised just to be slaughtered.
For some people, there’s no triumphant return from the hero’s journey. Just death, Samsara. Rinse and repeat.
Each day is a hero’s journey for some. Probably if you’re reading this you have a pretty good life. You have access to the internet so I’m hoping you have a safe place to sleep and enough food to eat.
I hope for you that you also have enough challenges in your life to push you to become your best self because that’s a rare privilege in a world where 1% of the population controls more of the wealth than the poorest 80%.
